INVENTOR – Slavko Medimurec
I was born in Podturen, Slovenia where I visited the elementary school. In 1968 I finished School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Then I started working as a precision mechanic for weighing machines. After completed military service, I gained work experience in the Technological Building and Civil Engineering Institute ZMRK in Ljubljana in the fields of production and development of laboratory equipment. While I was working there, I also finished Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering. After that I became an assistant works manager and was in charge of work planning.
In 1981, after moving to a family house, which I had built with my wife, I started working in the company Kovinastroj in Grosuplje. I worked as a planner in the production of professional dishwashers. During my work I made many suggestions for inventions and improvements for the production and functionality of products.
In 1984, I was nominated for a county prize for invention achievements, which I also won. After successful implementation of inventions, I got new assignments of a development technologist in the technology development department.
In 1985, I started working in a company producing forklifts Indos in Ljubljana as a supply technologist for tools and their preparation for a technological process. I was also appointed an acting director of this company for 6 months. In the last employment phase in Indos I worked as a commercialist for the sale of forklifts and as a purchasing engineer in the repair shop for forklifts. In 1985, I also became a member of the Slovenian Inventors Association.
